Our Staff

Kyle Piper is a first year CUSP student at UWB.

Kristoffer Warren is a first year CUSP student at UWB.

Chelsea Carter is a graduate student in The Master of Fine Art– Creative Writing and Poetics program.

Cora Thomas is a graduate student at UW Bothell in the Master of Arts in Cultural Studies program.

Disko Praphanchith–Graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Creative Writing and plans to get his Ph.D in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory. Disko works well with non-English speakers, and is very familiar with essays written in the humanities.

Elizabeth Babadzhanova is a senior at UW Bothell in the Media & Communications Studies program.

Erik Echols received his IAS degree from UW Bothell with an emphasis in Society, Ethics, and Human Behavior and a Human Rights minor. He specializes in thesis development, writing structure, close reading, and literature reviews.

Erin Sanchez is a graduate student of the Master of Arts in Cultural Studies program, with an undergraduate degree in Communication and Media studies and a minor in Art History. She specializes in research writing and enjoys stitching together theory from across disciplines.

Gwyn Boyer has a BA in Community Psychology from UW Bothell, and specializes in reflective writing. She began her graduate studies Fall 2012.

Heather Miles is majoring in Community Psychology, and is interested in writing as a tool for advocacy and activism. She specializes in idea development and brainstorming: unpacking assignments, creating thesis statements and outlines, and figuring out what there is to say about a topic.

Jasleena Grewal is an Environmental Science major who specializes in research writing and persuasive essays. She also enjoys brainstorming sessions.

Jay Loomis is a graduate student in the MFA in Creative Writing and Poetics program at UWB. He has a special interest in games and game design, and has a background in technical writing for software developers.

Jeffrey Thompson is a sophomore planning a major in Computing and Software Systems. He specializes in persuasive and technical writing.

John Boucher has a B.A. in Film Theory and Production and English and is currently a student in the MFA program at UW Bothell.

Kalpita Joshi is a Global Studies major at UW Bothell.

Katie Knutson is in the UW Bothell business program, with a focus on accounting. She particularly enjoys working on narratives and personal statements. She’s also good at working on thesis statements and organization.

Linda Dodge graduated from UW Seattle with a B.A. in Psychology with an emphasis in Communications. She specializes in writing personal statements/essays.

Mahala Lettvin is an undergraduate student majoring in American Studies. Her strengths include research, thesis development, argumentative writing, and personal statements.

Margaret Chiavetta graduated with a BA degree in Anthropology from SUNY Buffalo. Her creative writing sprouted from doing field work in Puerto Rico. Currently, she is a graduate student in the new MFA Creative Writing and Poetics program here at UWB. She feels collaboration is just as important as reading and writing when it comes to self-improvement.

Olga Hlavaty-LaPosa is a Community Psychology major.

Will Jonsson is an undergraduate Environmental Science major who enjoys working on lab reports, research proposals and papers, brainstorming/prewriting, and literary analysis
